Ozarks Medical Center is dedicated to providing high quality, compassionate health care close to home for the residents and visitors of the region. OMC is a not-for-profit health care system, which includes a 114-bed hospital in West Plains and 19 rural health and specialty clinics in Missouri and Arkansas. OMC is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Medical Staff: The OMC medical staff consists of more than 100 active and associate members with specialties including medical oncology/hematology, radiation oncology, psychiatry, emergency medicine, family/general practice, general surgery, cardiology, internal medicine, neurology, neurosurgery, obstetrics/gynecology, oncologic surgery, orthopaedic, podiatry, urology, nephrology, pain management, geriatrics, rheumatology and anesthesiology.

Emergency Services: Provides 24-hour service, seven days a week in a brand new state-of-the-art Emergency Department with 16 fully-private rooms.  OMC also manages several ambulance services including in Thayer, Alton and Willow Springs.  West Plains is the national headquarters for Air Evac Life Team, www.lifeteam.net, a 14-state network of helicopter emergency health transport.

OMC Urgent Care: The Urgent Care Clinic provides treatment for minor trauma and illnesses that require same day attention, but are not severe enough for a trip to the emergency room.  The clinic is open seven days a week.  Patients are seen on a walk-in basis with no appointment necessary.  Services for adults and children include stitches, digital X-ray, lab services and minor wound care.

Heart Care Services: Provides complete cardiac care to the community, from basic heart care to open heart surgery and everything in between.  Services also include a Cardiac Rehabilitation program and a 24/7 Cardiac Catheterization Lab, where life-saving care is provided to those suffering from heart attack.

Orthopaedics: OMC's Orthopaedic Clinic services include arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine as well as treatment for hand, hip, knee and shoulder injuries, fractures and total joints.  OMC's orthopaedic surgical program cares for patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Surgical Services: A 20,000 square-foot facility that houses six spacious suites for inpatient and outpatient surgery.

Cancer Treatment Center: State-of-the-art facility providing radiation therapy, chemotherapy and hematology services.

Rehabilitation Services: Offers physical and occupational therapy and speech language pathology services.  Other rehabilitation services include massage therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, sports medicine, work conditioning, aquatic therapy and a specialized hand clinic.

Imaging Services: Inpatient and outpatient services include CT scans, nuclear medicine, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound and radiography, including diagnostic X-rays and digital fluoroscopy.

Behavioral Healthcare: A network of mental health services providing outpatient counseling, community support, psychological testing, children and youth services and medication services.

Women's Health Services: Comprehensive services for women, full-service maternity care and gynecological services, plus a wide variety of health education programs and classes.
